Osasuna Falls 2-0 Against Real Betis at La Cartuja

Today, Osasuna head coach Alessio Lisci addressed the media following his team's 2-0 loss to Real Betis on Sunday night at La Cartuja.
“Today we played very badly, but these are different games. Obviously, we need to fix something because we have zero points away from home. The situation is not that serious, but what is serious is today’s game, which cannot happen,” Lisci said when asked about the team’s poor form on the road, adding that “things need to be analyzed.”
“One, the schedule we’ve had away has been challenging. The first three away matches weren’t bad at all. We didn’t deserve to lose any of them — maybe against Real Madrid, but they created very little. The other two we didn’t deserve to lose. Today, yes,” he explained.
On the match itself, he said, “I don’t want to take credit away from Betis. I think we were very bad today, first because of our own mistakes. Then surely Betis played their game — maybe better, maybe worse than others — I don’t want to seem like I’m taking credit from them. We were bad, that’s obvious.
“In the first 15 minutes of the second half, we had a chance to score and didn’t take it. Then we played very slowly. … There are many things, and I don’t want to get into all of them. It was a bad game, and surely I made many mistakes. I don’t want to go into more details because it looks like we’re making excuses, and I hate excuses. There’s little to say about today’s match. The blame is mine, and this cannot happen,” Lisci said.
